Give your channels an icon and a color

When you run more than a few channels, the sidebar turns into a wall of identical grey hashes. You read the names to find the one you want. Small friction, every single day.

So channels now carry an identity. Give each one an emoji instead of the #, and a color, and the right feed jumps out before you've read a word.

How to set it

1. 1 Open a channel's settings (the gear in the channel header, or right-click it in the sidebar).
2. 2 In Icon, type any emoji (or leave the #). Then pick a color.
3. 3 Save. It shows up in the sidebar and the channel header right away.

Tiny feature, but it's the kind of thing that makes a busy workspace feel calm. Thanks to the user who suggested it.
