n8n, Make and Zapier, on your phone
Every automation tool can send an HTTP request. Point it at a Zenhook channel and each run can reach your phone: a new lead, a form, a failed workflow.
1. Create a channel
Create a channel, then copy its complete webhook URL from the channel settings.
2. Add one HTTP step
The body is the same in every tool. Replace the {{…}} parts with your tool's own fields.
{
"title": "New lead",
"level": "info",
"message": "{{name}} asked for a quote",
"fields": [
{ "label": "Email", "value": "{{email}}" },
{ "label": "Service", "value": "{{service}}" }
],
"linkUrl": "{{link}}",
"linkText": "Open"
}n8n
Add an HTTP Request node. Method POST, URL your webhook URL, Body Content Type JSON, then paste the body.
Make
Add the HTTP module Make a request. Method POST, URL your webhook URL, Body type Raw, Content type JSON (application/json), then paste the body in Request content.
Zapier
Add the action Webhooks by Zapier, event POST. URL your webhook URL, Payload Type json, then add title, level and message as data fields.
3. Know when a workflow fails (n8n)
Create a workflow that starts with an Error Trigger node, add the same HTTP Request node with this body, and choose it as the error workflow in your other workflows' settings.
{
"title": "Workflow failed",
"level": "error",
"message": "{{ $json.workflow.name }}: {{ $json.execution.error.message }}",
"linkUrl": "{{ $json.execution.url }}",
"linkText": "Open the execution"
}Good to know
- Send the same title for the same kind of event ("New lead") and it becomes one widget that counts them.
- A field named Amount with a value like $49.00 turns the widget into the day's total.
- Use level error for failures: they stand out in red and ring as Time Sensitive on iPhone.
